We've Changed Our Name!

Why the Name Change?

We have some news to share, about a little mix-up that turned into a big change. Recently, we discovered that our initial incorporation led us to be classified as a Community Interest Company (CIC). While that may sound impressive, it turns out that the designation didn't quite fit with the rules of the Community Right To Buy team at the Scottish Government.

The Switch to Breakish Community Company

After much consideration and some back-and-forth conversations, we decided to re-incorporate as the Breakish Community Company instead of sticking with the Breakish Community Trust CIC title. Rest assured, while our name has changed, our mission remains unchanged. We're still non-shareholding, not-for-profit, focused on making our community even stronger than it already is and working together towards common goals such as registration of Community Right To Buy.
