A87 Pavement and Road Safety Improvements Survey
Breakish Community Company wants to improve pedestrian safety and connectivity along the A87 between Breakish, Skulamus and Broadford. We wish to do this by completing the pavement which currently ends at Red Skye Restaurant and extending this through to the Sleat road end. We also want to address the dangerous pinch points at the bridges either end of the village.
The project would reduce the physical division of the A87 between Upper and Lower Breakish, strengthen links to Breakish Village Hall, support safer walking for school pupils travelling to Portree High School and create safer routes connecting the community.
